WALKING WITH NATURE
Nola Sprague ©
1981

The birds are singing as we go,

It's time for early morning walks, you know.

Through the woods merrily on our way.

That's how we begin the day.

The grasses and trees are covered with dew,

Except for Nature, other sounds are few.

The sun is starting his long climb to the sky,

While overhead, more birds fly by.

The wildflowers are out with their dainty blooms;

Others will follow them very soon.

To live among Nature is a beautiful place to be,

For she is always busy, true and free.
