Starry Nights with Saw-whets is back! Don’t miss an unforgettable owl-viewing experience this October! |
The focus of PEPtBO’s nighttime migration monitoring and research, running from September 20th through November 7th is the Northern Saw-whet Owl. One of North America’s most frequently banded owl species, they capture the imagination of experienced and novice birders alike. During our owl-viewing evenings, participants have a unique opportunity to witness the banding of these captivating wild birds up close while enjoying an informative presentation from our experienced team. This year, we are offering 9 public viewings. Each viewing is capped at 20 participants for owl safety and participant comfort, and is weather-dependent.
